Write for Us: SEO, Digital Marketing, SaaS & Software
RankUp4u publishes guest posts from marketers, SEOs, founders and software reviewers who can teach our readers something they can apply the same week. If you have run the campaign, tested the tool or fixed the crawl issue yourself, we want your draft.
We look for practitioners, not content mills
RankUp4u is an SEO and digital marketing agency. Our readers are business owners, in-house marketers, SaaS founders and freelancers who are trying to grow organic traffic and pick better software. They can tell within two paragraphs whether a writer has actually done the work.
That is the bar for every guest post here. A submission gets published when it contains something the reader cannot find in the first ten results on Google — a real screenshot, a number from your own account, a mistake you made, a process you refined over six months. It gets rejected when it is a polite rewrite of what already ranks.
You do not need a big following to contribute. You need first-hand experience with the topic, a clear angle and a draft that respects the reader's time.
New to guest posting? Send three topic ideas with a one-line angle for each before you write anything. It takes five minutes and saves you from writing 2,000 words we cannot use.

Our editorial scorecard
This is the exact checklist our editor runs every submission through. A draft has to clear the left column completely. A single item from the right column ends the review.
- 100% human written. Drafted by a person, start to finish, in your own voice.
- 100% AI detection free. Must come back clean on Originality.ai and equivalent checks.
- 100% plagiarism free. Copyscape clean, including spun or heavily paraphrased text.
- Well researched. Every statistic linked to its primary source, with the publication year stated.
- SEO optimized. One clear primary keyword, three to five secondary terms, used naturally.
- Original evidence. Your own screenshots, dashboard data, test results or client outcomes.
- Logical structure. Clean H2 and H3 hierarchy, short paragraphs, scannable lists and tables.
- Genuine expertise. Balanced opinions, stated limitations, no exaggerated claims.
- Plain US English. Grade 6–8 readability, active voice, no jargon for its own sake.
- Exclusive. Never published anywhere else, and never republished after we run it.
- AI-generated or AI-spun drafts. Including human-edited ChatGPT output.
- Rewrites of a top-ranking article. Same headings, same points, different words.
- Thin "what is X" posts with no new angle, data or example.
- Keyword stuffing or unnatural anchor text forced into the copy.
- Invented statistics, fake case studies or made-up pricing.
- Hidden affiliate links or undisclosed sponsored mentions.
- Sales pages and press releases dressed up as editorial content.
- Previously published work, including posts from LinkedIn, Medium or your own blog.
- Listicles built only to place a link, where nine entries exist to hide the tenth.
- Restricted niches: gambling, casino, adult, CBD, vaping, payday loans, pharma, essay writing and crypto promotion.
How we verify. Every draft goes through an AI detection scan, a plagiarism scan and a manual read by a human editor. Tools flag the obvious cases; the editorial read catches the rest. Submitting AI-generated work removes you from our contributor list permanently.
Submission requirements at a glance
Meet every line below and your draft moves straight to editorial review instead of coming back for revisions.
| Requirement | Specification |
|---|---|
| Word count | 1,500–2,500 words. Depth over padding — if the topic is covered in 1,200, stop there. |
| File format | Google Doc link with comment access enabled, or a .docx attachment. |
| Headings | One H1 (the title), then H2 and H3 only. No skipped levels, no bolded fake headings. |
| Meta title | Supplied by you, 60 characters or fewer, primary keyword near the front. |
| Meta description | Supplied by you, 140–160 characters, written to earn the click. |
| Keywords | 1 primary keyword plus 3–5 secondary or semantic terms, listed at the top of the doc. |
| Images | At least 2 original screenshots or custom graphics, plus a 1200×630 featured image. Alt text for each. |
| External links | Maximum 2 do-follow links: 1 contextual in-content link and 1 in your author bio. |
| Internal links | 2–3 links to existing RankUp4u posts, placed where they genuinely help the reader. |
| Sources | Every claim, statistic and figure linked to a live, authoritative source. |
| Author bio | 40–60 words, one headshot, one website link, and your LinkedIn or X profile. |
| Tone | US English, conversational but professional. Write like a consultant talking to a client. |
How links work on RankUp4u
We give real, do-follow links — but only where they help the reader. Your in-content link has to point to a page that genuinely supports the sentence around it. A link to your homepage from the phrase "best SEO agency" is not that.
Links to competing SEO or digital marketing agencies are not accepted. Links to tools, research, documentation, your SaaS product or your portfolio are fine when they are relevant. We reserve the right to remove, nofollow or re-point any link before publishing, and to remove links later if the destination page changes.
Every guest post carries the author's name, bio and headshot. We do not publish anonymously and we do not sell bylines.
How to submit a guest post
Five steps, in order. Skipping step one is the most common reason a good draft gets turned down.
Pitch before you write
Email [email protected] with three topic ideas, one line on the angle for each, and two links to published work you wrote yourself.
Get the brief confirmed
We reply with the approved topic, the target keyword, the word count and any specific points we want covered. Write only after you have this.
Write the draft
Follow the editorial scorecard and the formatting table above. Take your own screenshots as you go — sourcing them afterwards is always harder.
Send the complete package
One email with the Google Doc link, meta title, meta description, keyword list, images with alt text, and your author bio. Use the subject line Guest Post Submission – [Your Topic].
Review and publish
You hear back within 3–5 business days with an acceptance, a revision request or a decline with reasons. Accepted posts are edited for clarity, structure and SEO, then published with your byline and a live link sent to you.

General contribution queries
Guest posting questions, answered
Do you accept AI-written articles?
No. Every submission must be 100% human written and clear our AI detection check. That includes drafts generated by an AI tool and then edited by a person — those still fail. We run each draft through detection software and a manual editorial read, and contributors who submit AI content are removed from our list.
How do you check for plagiarism and AI content?
Two automated scans and one human read. Plagiarism is checked with Copyscape-class tools, AI content with Originality.ai-class detectors. Our editor then reads the draft looking for the patterns detectors miss: generic openings, repeated ideas, statistics with no source, and advice that could apply to any business.
What topics can I write about?
Digital marketing, SEO, SaaS, software, and reviews or tool comparisons. Within those pillars, narrow topics perform best. A post about fixing a specific indexing problem will always beat a broad overview of technical SEO.
How long should my guest post be?
Between 1,500 and 2,500 words. That range gives you room to cover a topic properly without padding. If your subject is fully answered in 1,300 words, submit 1,300 words — we would rather publish a tight article than a stretched one.
How many links can I include, and are they do-follow?
Up to two do-follow links: one contextual link inside the article and one in your author bio. Both have to be relevant to the content. We do not accept links to competing SEO or digital marketing agencies, and we do not accept affiliate links.
How long until I hear back?
Three to five business days for both pitches and full drafts. If you have not heard from us after five working days, send one follow-up to [email protected] with your original email attached.
Can I republish the article on my own site afterwards?
No. Guest posts on RankUp4u are exclusive. Republishing the same content elsewhere creates a duplicate content problem for both sites and will result in your post being removed.
Will you edit my article before publishing?
Yes. We edit for clarity, structure, readability and on-page SEO, and we may adjust the headline or meta description. We never change your data, your opinions or your conclusions. Substantial edits are sent back to you for approval first.
What should I include in my author bio?
Forty to sixty words covering who you are and what you actually do, one headshot, one website link, and a LinkedIn or X profile. Skip the third-person marketing copy — readers respond better to a plain description of your work.
Do you charge for guest posts, or pay contributors?
Editorial review is free and every pitch gets read. Email [email protected] for our current publishing terms before you start writing.
Send us your topic ideas
Three ideas, one line on each angle, two writing samples. That is all we need to give you a yes or a no within five business days.
[email protected]Use the subject line Guest Post Pitch – [Your Topic] so your email reaches the editor directly. Pitches sent through the general contact form take longer to route.
